Studio Assistant

Corrie in Color, a Los Angeles–based creative studio, is seeking freelance support for upcoming art installations and experiential design projects. We’re looking for studio assistants, on-site installers, and admin/design support to join our freelance roster. This is hands-on, project-based work ideal for students interested in fabrication, textiles, large-scale art, and events.

Roles may include:
• Assisting with fabrication and hands-on art builds
• Working with materials like fabric, ribbon, paper, and custom textures
• Packing, prep, and studio organization
• On-site installation and strike
• Assistant project management and production support
• Light design help (layouts, decks, mockups)
• Admin support, logistics, and coordination
• Content support (behind-the-scenes, documentation, etc.)

This is paid freelance work with flexible scheduling. Projects take place in our Los Angeles studio and at local event venues. Some roles may be hybrid between studio, install, and admin/design support.

Ideal candidates are:
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Flexible with scheduling and available for occasional last-minute projects
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable with hands-on and physical work (lifting, ladder work, installs)
• Interested in art, design, fabrication, and experiential projects

Bonus if you:
• Have design skills (Figma, Illustrator, Adobe)
• Have production or project management experience (Asana)
• Are comfortable helping across studio + install + admin tasks
