Eton Advisors is looking for an Investment Operations Analyst to assist in compiling, organizing, and interpreting a broad range of investment-related data and research to support ongoing investment decision-making, investment implementation/execution, portfolio reporting, and client communications. 

 

We seek a team player who is knowledgeable, self-motivated, self-disciplined, energetic, and highly results-oriented, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities, shifting demands, and workflow. 

 

 

Position Description

The Investment Analyst will be responsible for the following functions and processes: 

 

  1. Assist with various investment-related and client-related activities
    1. Quarterly reporting processes
    2. Portfolio trading activities 
    3. Researching client questions regarding specific existing or prospective investments
    4. Client and prospective client meeting presentations 
    5. Monitor data reconciliation with outsourced back-office firm 
    6. Process investment-related bill pay transactions and ensure proper recording for performance purposes

 

  1. Develop, maintain and distribute data, analyses, and reports on a regular and timely basis

 

  1. Assist with the investment implementation for Eton’s pooled funds 

 

  1. Assist with manager due diligence 

 

  1. Utilize available tools and data sets to regularly supply investment data and information to key internal constituencies

 

  1. Provide assistance and support as needed periodically in various investment-related and client-related activities

 

 

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with financial experience preferred
  • 2-3 years industry experience
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) 
  • Polished and professional demeanor 
  • Strong commitment to service excellence and the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, loyalty, honest, and business ethics
  • Ability to work in a highly confidential, low profile environment 
  • Compensation based on experience 

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time in-person position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Limited travel.
