Part-Time Fine Art Technician
Maquette Fine Art Services is interested in adding part-time technicians to our highly reputable crew. This is an opportunity to join a unique group of individuals that comprise a very strong and talented team. With the unique skills to work in the warehouse, on the road, and in the gallery, our Fine Art Technicians operate as the bridge between the Maquette offices and our clients. Applicants should enjoy working in a dynamic, art-oriented, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and careful handling of artworks in packing, loading, transit, and installation phases using proper techniques and knowledge of materials
- Safely load and operate company delivery vehicle
- Maintain and manage accurate paperwork for projects executed
Requirements:
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with clients and crew
- Steady and level-headed under pressure
- Self motivated
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Current driver’s license in good standing, CDL is a plus
- Ability to drive a 16’ to 24’ truck in Boston, New York City and the surrounding region is a plus
Experience art handling is preferred but a great attitude and the desire to learn makes you just as qualified to apply!
