Summer Skateboarding Instructor

About the Role
As a Skateboarding Specialist, you’ll lead and grow our skateboarding program, creating a fun, safe, and skill-building environment for campers of all levels. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and mentorship to the skatepark while helping campers build confidence and develop new skills.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily skateboarding sessions for campers of varying skill levels
- Plan and teach engaging, level-appropriate lessons and activities
- Maintain and organize the skatepark and equipment
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times
- Create backup programming for rainy days or schedule changes
- Mentor and support Counselors-in-Training (CITs) in the program area
- Build meaningful connections with campers and encourage participation
- Continuously improve and contribute to the skatepark environment
Community Responsibilities
- Serve as a cabin counselor during non-program times
- Support camper routines including meals, evening programs, and transitions
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful camp culture
