High School Math Teacher

High School Math Teacher at Aromas-San Juan Unified School District. 

Full Time Position 2026-27 School Year

Position Overview:
Aromas-San Juan Unified School District (ASJUSD) is seeking a passionate and student-centered High School Math Teacher to join our team at Anzar High School. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering academic excellence, equity, and a supportive learning environment for all students. This role involves teaching a range of high school mathematics courses while contributing to a collaborative and community-focused school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in courses such as Algebra, Geometry, and higher-level mathematics as assigned
• Create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including English learners and students with varying academic needs
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding student progress
• Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics (or eligibility to obtain)
• Knowledge of California State Standards and curriculum frameworks
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior high school teaching or student teaching experience
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas)

• Salary based on ASJUSD certificated salary schedule
• $5,000 Signing Bonus paid in two installments
