About Sicura:
Sicura is a cybersecurity company dedicated to making compliance and security easier, faster, and more scalable for regulated environments. Our platform helps organizations automate the process of validating and maintaining compliance with standards like DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST controls. We’re building tools that reduce the manual burden of audits and help organizations move toward continuous authorization.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Front-End Web Development Intern to join our team and contribute to the development of a modern Angular-based web application. This app is central to our compliance automation platform—it visualizes compliance data, maps it to security controls, and helps users understand and act on system vulnerabilities.
As an intern, you’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams to design and build intuitive, performant, and secure user interfaces that drive real impact for security and compliance professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining user-facing features using Angular.
- Implement UI components that support workflows for mapping, tracking, and resolving compliance findings.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to consume and visualize data from our compliance engine.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to UI performance and behavior.
Contribute ideas to improve usability, accessibility, and design.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Exposure to Angular (from coursework, side projects, or internships).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server communication.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- US citizens only since we work in the defence/federal space
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Angular CLI, RxJS, or state management libraries like NgRx.
- Exposure to responsive design frameworks (e.g., Angular Material, Bootstrap).
- Interest in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, DISA STIGs).
- Experience with Agile development practices.
