Civil Graduate Engineer

We’ve partnered with a top-tier multidisciplinary engineering firm that’s growing its Houston based Public Infrastructure team and looking for a Civil Graduate Engineer ready to step into real project work—not just support tasks. What You’ll Do

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater runoff, storm sewer systems, and open channel design
  • Develop drainage layouts, profiles, and cross-sections using OpenRoads Designer
  • Support transportation and TxDOT design efforts for roadway and infrastructure projects
  • Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Compile and submit documentation for local, state, and federal agencies (e.g., DOT, FEMA, USACE) to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to technical reports, drainage impact studies, and stormwater management reports
  • Collaborate with roadway and multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage systems with infrastructure elements such as bridges, culverts, and detention systems

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 1–4 years of experience in roadway and/or drainage engineering
  • EIT certification with a clear path toward PE licensure within 2–3 years
  • Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, XPSTORM/XPSWMM, and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ProjectWise is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related tools (Excel, Word, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
