POSITION: Industrial Design Engineer

Position Summary

§ Develop innovative concepts and designs that meet customer needs while expanding UPC’s design portfolio

§ Produce a full range of design deliverables, from initial concept sketches to detailed technical drawings for production

§ Create clear, concise, and easy-to-follow instructions to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing processes

§ Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with frequently evolving design requirements

§ Organize and maintain project files and assets to support efficient workflows and version control

§ Communicate effectively and consistently across cross-functional teams to align design and production goals

§ Utilize IT skills to handle various file formats, conversions, and ensure interoperability between design tools

§ Apply knowledge of networking, file management, file sharing, and cloud technologies to support collaboration and efficiency

§ Support and encourage team adoption of new tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve communication

§ Contribute to UPC’s technical evolution by promoting flexibility, innovation, and problem-solving across the organization

§ Play a key role within the design and engineering team to help lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives

Facility Equipment & Work Environment

§ CAD Software: AutoCAD

§ 3D Modeling Software: Blender

§ Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

§ ERP (Odoo)

Education & Experience

§ Preferably 2+ years working as an engineer in the manufacturing industry.

§ Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

§ A portfolio with examples of your work.

§ Familiar with basic I.T. concepts: Various operating systems, software, file formats, and file management/distribution/sharing/cloud, etc.

§ Good communication skills & comfortable working with people throughout different departments.

§ Must have a strong aptitude working in an ERP, such as Odoo, or other related systems.
