Position Purpose:       

Join the Department of Psychiatry as a student assistant. This role involves navigating complex financial structures that will focus on a project centered on the professional development of faculty in the department.

Job Description:

  • Assist with completing and reviewing professional development fund reconciliations, including support for current and prior fiscal years.
  • Help track and organize financial data to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support the procurement lead by following established processes and helping improve tracking systems when needed.
  • Work with the finance team to verify that faculty professional development fund balances are correct.
  • Use university systems to enter, review, and maintain reconciliation data.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with additional tasks related to professional development funding as assigned.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a current studenttaking at least6 credit hours(undergraduate) or 3 credit hours (graduate)
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Must be dependable, detail-oriented, flexible, organized, willing to learn, possess the ability to multi-task, and have a professional demeanor.
  • Must have solidwritten and oralcommunication skills, including the abilityto communicate clearly and professionally via telephone and email.

The Student Assistant commits to showing up for work diligently and punctually, honesty, performing assigned tasks, following directions, taking initiative, reliability, confidentiality, checking work for thoroughness and accuracy with attention to detail, and interest in learning new skills, especially mandatory computer skills. Ideal candidates will be willing to work up to a maximum of 25 hours weekly.

 

Pay Range:

$20.00 per hour
