Legal Recruiting Assistant

Job Title:         Legal Recruiting Assistant

Location:        Legal Recruiting, New York Office

Reports to:     Chief Legal Recruitment Officer and Associate Director of Legal Recruitment

Salary:              $53,000- $57,000; Non-Exempt

Hours:             Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM-5:30 PM

 

 

Kasowitz LLP is looking to hire an entry level Legal Recruiting Assistant to join our Recruiting team.  This candidate will focus on all aspects of lateral and clerk recruiting and various industry surveys.  Additionally, this candidate will assist with the Incoming Associate Program and various legal recruitment projects and coordinating and attending events.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide administrative support for the Legal Recruiting Department.
  • Assist with lateral recruiting logistics including maintaining applicant tracking system and candidate files, reviewing and processing resumes, scheduling logistics, greeting and exiting candidates, collecting feedback and correspondence with candidates and recruiters.
  • Assist in all areas of clerk hiring and Incoming Associate program including ongoing correspondence prior to arrival and onboarding logistics.
  • Assist with coordinating and executing events
  • Support Legal Recruiting Department with miscellaneous projects and tasks, as needed.

 

Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Ability to organize, multitask, manage, maintain and prioritize departmental processes/projects, deadlines and projects effectively in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and judgment regarding sensitive matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of legal and professional staff, candidates, head-hunters, school placement officers.
  • Must be highly motivated, flexible, detail-oriented and exhibit creativity. 
  • Flexibility to extended hours to meet needs of department.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software and operating systems.
