Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager / Multimedia Tech 


 

Company Overview: We are Brian Nicks Productions, a small but mighty event production business based right here in Western Mass. What started as a Wedding DJ company 30 years ago has turned into a multimedia event, conference, and video production business. From photo booths to LED walls, lighting displays to concert level sound systems, trussing to pipe and drape; we’ve got the gear to produce any event. 6 years post pandemic when events all went virtual, we are bigger than ever and looking to continue growing.

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, confident, and ambitious candidate to support our team at a range of events including conferences, presentations, concerts, dances and more. The Assistant Project Manager / Multimedia Tech will assist in the setup and operation of audio, video and lighting equipment to ensure smooth and successful events. You will also learn and work in the behind the scenes of our events; planning, invoicing, contracting, and corresponding with clients in order to make these events happen. The ideal candidate is someone who is responsive, organized and works effectively in fast-paced environments. 


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up, testing, and operating AV equipment (e.g. microphones, speakers, photo booths, lighting, etc.) for events.
  • Set up full sound systems including mixers, speakers, running wires and so on. 
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and during events.
  • Assist with making announcements, playing music, and manning photo booths during events. 
  • Run trivia, bingo, and other games for participants at qualifying events.
  • Assist with proper breakdown and storage of AV equipment after events. 
  • Haul equipment in and out of venues during setup and breakdown. 
  • Correspond with clients, schedule events
  • Be able to work efficiently and quickly while on the job. 
  • Bring your own skills! If you video edit- amazing, lighting tech- love it, audio production skills- fabulous. We will make sure that we can help your skills shine.


 

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding and interest in AV tech work (we are willing to train the right candidate).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as well as solo. 
  • Be a self starter that is willing to take initiative without needing to be told to do so. 
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends as needed for events. 
  • Be willing and able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet multiple hours at a time.
