Marketing & Events Coordinator Intern
About the Role
Speaking With Impact™ is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and creative Marketing & Events Coordinator Intern to support the growth and visibility of our communications training business.
This is not a traditional, task-based internship. This is a high-ownership role designed for someone who is eager to contribute ideas, take initiative, and play an active role in execution. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is excited about marketing, branding, communications, and business growth.
There is strong potential for this role to extend beyond the internship into a long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities
1. Event & Administrative Support
- Support the planning and execution of trainings, workshops, and live events.
- Coordinate logistics including scheduling, client communication, materials, and run-of-show timelines
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams, clients, and external partners
- Assist with preparation of training materials, including printing, packing, and digital file organization
- Provide day-of event support (virtual and in-person), ensuring seamless execution
- Manage event-related marketing efforts such as invitations, registration, and promotional materials
- Conduct post-event follow-ups and evaluations to improve future training success
2. Marketing & Brand Support
- Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies for training programs, workshops, and podcast content
- Support content creation across LinkedIn, email marketing, website, and social media platforms
- Maintain and manage marketing channels to drive engagement and brand visibility
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Track and analyze marketing performance, providing insights, strategy, and recommendations
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications and materials
- Support outreach efforts by identifying potential clients, partners, and collaboration opportunities
3. Administrative & Operations Support
- Maintain organized systems and databases for marketing, events, and client engagement
- Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and coordination of meetings
- Support inbox management and respond to general inquiries as needed
- Prepare reports, presentations, and internal materials
- Assist with general business operations
- Provide direct administrative support to leadership as needed
Qualifications
- Strong interest in marketing, communications, event planning, or business operations
- Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative and follow through
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with social media, content creation, or marketing campaigns
- Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Teams, and/or email marketing tools
- Interest in personal branding, public speaking, or communications training
- Prior experience with event planning or coordination
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute as needed
Details
- Timeline: June 1 – September 1, 2026 (with potential to extend)
- Location: Hybrid/Remote (DMV area preferred) (Expected to be on site and in office 2 days in a row)
- Compensation: $15-$22/hour (commensurable with experience)
