Associate Attorney
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation, personal injury, tribal law and regulations, litigation, patent law, and landlord-tenant issues. The Associate Attorney will be instrumental in providing comprehensive legal support, conducting in-depth research, drafting legal documents, and assisting in negotiations. Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, negotiations, and client meetings by organizing case files and evidence
- Support estate planning efforts by drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
- Provide guidance on environmental law compliance and regulatory issues affecting clients’ operations
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Maintain comprehensive records of case developments and ensure adherence to deadlines and procedural requirements
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction(s)
- Proven experience or strong familiarity with multiple legal practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, or patent law
- Proficiency with legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents
- Strong analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with legal drafting and administrative tasks within a law office setting
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex cases effectively
- Familiarity with legal research techniques and tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards
