Role Overview

As a CAD & Data Analytics Intern at EAE, you will support engineering and product teams in developing CAD models and building data-driven tools that improve product visibility, compliance tracking (UL/ETL), and decision-making.

You’ll gain hands-on experience working with real products such as Tap-Off Boxes and busway systems, while contributing to initiatives that enhance product lifecycle management and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

🔧 CAD & Engineering Support

• Assist in creating and updating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for electrical components
• Support engineering design changes and technical documentation updates
• Maintain CAD libraries and revision control for product components
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with manufacturing and compliance standards

📊 Data Analytics & Reporting

• Develop Power BI dashboards to track:
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) structures
  • UL/ETL compliance status
  • Certification progress and documentation
  • Supplier and component approvals
• Extract, clean, and structure data from SAP, Excel, and internal systems
• Build automated reports and dashboards to reduce manual tracking
• Create visualizations to identify risks, gaps, and inconsistencies in product data

⚡ Product & Compliance Support

• Assist in tracking UL 857 / ETL certification requirements
• Support organization of technical documentation packages
• Help standardize product data (naming, classification, attributes)
• Work with Product Management to improve data accuracy and traceability

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
• Basic experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills (data organization, pivot tables)
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Interest in manufacturing, electrical systems, or product development

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Basic understanding of Bill of Materials (BOMs)
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems
• Knowledge of electrical components (breakers, enclosures, wiring)
• Experience with data transformation tools (Power Query, Python, etc.)

• Microsoft Power BI (Desktop + Pro)
• Microsoft Excel
• SAP (Material Master & BOM modules)
