IT Help Desk Technician

Job description

We are seeking a Full-Time IT Help Desk Technician (fluent in English with 
knowledge of Spanish a plus) to join our team!

You will provide Level II end-user technical support for clients' on-premise WiFi/networking infrastructure, user workstations (Windows, some Mac), smartphones (Apple and Android), and Microsoft Office365.


Duties and responsibilities of the position include:
• Setting up networking for client sites: firewall, ISP connections, switches, WiFi 
access points, security cameras - mounting and initial configuration.
• Checking and troubleshooting wiring/ network connection issues.
• Install or upgrade software - including Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.
• Provide first and second level help desk support.
• Microsoft 365: adding/removing users in Active Directory and Office365, security 
policies and permissions, Entra Conditional Access Policies, Intune device 
management.
• Meeting rooms support, e.g. Zoom room support - with videoconferencing 
equipment, TVs, speakers.
• Communicate directly with clients, other technicians, and project manager 
regarding projects, issues, follow-ups.
• Promptly enter troubleshooting calls, tickets and timesheets into the help 
desk system every day.
• Document all technical procedures and create/update user guides.
• Perform other duties or work on IT projects as assigned by manager.
• Working with Level II and III Technicians and the Project Manager.
 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or another STEM field.
• Three+ years in the IT field with end users and strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Spanish is a plus)

• Experienced with technical support procedures for installing, configuring, and 
troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 11, Office365 account administration, 
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Reader, browsers, and common business applications.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Positive and professional demeanor, and ability to build rapport with clients.
• We conduct background checks for all technicians.
• Working hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Eastern Standard Time with a 1 hour break for lunch.
 

Compensation:
• Annual salary range: $50,000 - $65,000.
• Ten days annual vacation days plus personal leave (as per employee handbook).
• Access to health insurance and 401k plans (after appropriate waiting periods).
