Freelance Social Media Manager

Green Trails Inn & Pond Village Pub in Brookfield, Vermont is seeking a part-time Freelance Social Media Manager to help grow our Facebook, Instagram, and other online presence.

This contractor role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in marketing, communications, hospitality, tourism, content creation, photography, or small business branding.

The role may include creating a monthly content calendar, writing captions, creating posts and Reels, helping capture photos and videos, promoting events and specials, supporting community engagement, and tracking basic performance metrics.

We are looking for someone creative, organized, reliable, and able to create content that feels warm, authentic, Vermont-inspired, and welcoming. Experience with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, Meta Business Suite, photography, or short-form video is helpful. Prior professional experience is not required, but samples of work are encouraged.

Estimated time commitment is 5 to 10 hours per week. Some work can be remote, but occasional visits to Brookfield for content capture are preferred.

Compensation will be based on experience and scope, generally $18 to $20/hour or a monthly contractor retainer starting around $400 to $800/month.
