ARCOM Capital is a Connecticut-based commodity trading advisor, founded in 2014, that specializes in global natural gas markets. The Portfolio Manager manages a discretionary strategy with support from a research team through a fundamental approach administered with exchange-cleared derivatives. The firm seeks to add an Analyst to assist with the daily operational requirements of the firm as well as assist in fundamental natural gas research, aggregation/presentation of energy data, and automation of daily processes. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong quantitative background with an interest in participating in all aspects of the trading floor, from the research team to back-office operations. This individual will work within a small, focused team atmosphere and manage relationships with counterparts at exchanges, FCMs, brokers, and service vendors, as well as work alongside other analysts within the fundamental research sector.
Role Responsibilities:
· Manage trade capture, allocations, and risk/performance reporting through our managed back-office platform
· Develop an understanding of the entirety of trade flow for futures and options transactions
· Maintain familiarity with ICE and CME exchange rulebooks and NFA/CFTC regulatory requirements applicable to a registered CTA (Commodity Trading Advisor)
· Manage the IT needs of the organization in conjunction with the company’s outsourced IT support
· Manage all administrative functions and business filings to ensure smooth operation of the business, dealing with third party vendors as required.
· Contribute to fundamental natural gas research, including supply/demand modeling and energy data aggregation
· Build and maintain automated workflows for data ingestion (APIs, web scraping), storage, and distribution
