Risk Intelligence Analyst
Position Summary
The Risk Intelligence Analyst reports to the VP Risk Intelligence and is responsible for crafting protective and geopolitical intelligence deliverables, contributing to structured and bespoke risk assessments, analyzing global events, fulfilling client requests for information, supporting global operations using the intelligence cycle, as well as collecting and analyzing information derived from open sources to identify threats and conduct investigations. This position may include working nights, weekends, and holidays in response to unfolding world events and urgent investigative requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Apply OSINT methodologies, behavioral indicators, and concepts such as the Pathway to Violence to evaluate a diverse range of threats
Prepare clear, defensible investigative reports and threat assessments for diverse stakeholders
Translate client intelligence requirements into collection plans
Establish and periodically refine Boolean-based OSINT collection structures and SOPs to facilitate threat detection and alerting
Craft responses to client requests for information
Produce custom geopolitical risk assessments and recurring global intelligence products for clients across industries
Communicate findings to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing, in accordance with Exlog standards (e.g., with a clear “bottom line up front”)
Compile and deliver assigned client-facing quarterly metric reports to support persistent threat monitoring services
Assist Operations in maintaining global situational awareness, and support the Crisis Management Team as needed
Serve as On-Call Analyst on a rotating basis

Experience & Skills
Minimum four-year degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Security Studies, or other relevant field of study
Minimum four years of experience in open-source analysis, investigations, corporate security, military intelligence, or related analytical roles focused on geopolitical risk assessment and/or protective intelligence
Experience with the intelligence cycle – especially OSINT collection, processing, and analysis
Proficiency in commonly used geopolitical risk and protective intelligence / threat assessment methods
Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 applications
Familiarity with enterprise-level situational awareness, threat alerting, investigations, and/or case management software preferred
Foreign language skills and/or international experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to accurately and concisely convey complex tactical and operational information
Strong critical thinking skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a highly dynamic environment
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and effective time management
Ability to work with sensitive information with high levels of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
Working Conditions
On-site role in the Exlog Global Response Center in Jacksonville, FL
Willingness to work occasional non-standard hours (evenings, weekends, on-call) in support of critical incidents or high-priority events
