About the Role
As a Sales Development Representative, you are on the front lines of Novoprotein's growth. Your primary mission is to prospect, qualify, and convert scientific buyers into long-term Novoprotein partners — and to book qualified meetings and sales opportunities for our senior account management team.
You won't just be making calls. You'll be having real conversations, understanding researchers' challenges, and positioning Novoprotein's portfolio as the solution.
What You'll Do
- Execute outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to prospects in pharma, biotech, CROs, and academic labs
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to identify genuine sales opportunities and book meetings for senior account managers
- Research target accounts — understand their pipeline, assay needs, and reagent purchasing patterns before reaching out
- Maintain accurate records of all outreach, touchpoints, and pipeline activity in CRM
- Meet or exceed monthly KPIs including outreach volume, qualified conversations, and meetings booked
- Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging and test new prospecting sequences
What We're Looking For
- Strong written and verbal communicator, able to translate technical value into compelling outreach
- Persistent and resilient — comfortable with rejection and motivated by targets
- Genuine curiosity about how biotech and pharma research teams work
- 1–2 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience preferred; relevant lab experience also valued
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) a plus
- Biology major is a plus, but not required
