Healthy Harvest Member- Fairfield
As a Healthy Harvest Corps volunteer with Shared Harvest Foodbank, you will help advance Food Is Medicine initiatives by supporting the implementation of Healthy Eating Research (HER) guidelines across foodbank programs and services. You will play an active role in evaluating and ranking food items using nutrition standards, developing training and educational materials, collaborating with foodbank staff and partners, collecting feedback from community members, and creating resources that can be utilized across Ohio's statewide hunger relief network. You will gain valuable experience in nutrition education, program evaluation, data collection and analysis, communications, and community engagement. Ideal for individuals interested in public health/nutrition, this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building professional skills and contributing to innovative approaches to hunger relief. This position is part-time w/ flexible hours. To be eligible to serve, candidates must have one of the following citizenship statuses:
- U.S. Citizen
- U.S. National
- Lawful Permanent Resident Alien
- Person legally residing in a state that has the following legal residency classifications
- Refugee status
- Asylum or Asylee status
- Temporary protected status
