As our practice continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our personal injury team. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with attorneys, clients, medical providers, insurance professionals, and other legal stakeholders throughout every phase of a personal injury case.

Our firm operates in a modern, technology-driven environment utilizing Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Candidates should be comfortable working with technology, maintaining electronic case files, and adapting to evolving systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files in accordance with firm policies, court rules, and legal standards
- Monitor case deadlines, statutes of limitation, hearings, and other critical dates to ensure timely action and compliance
- Draft, file, and organize pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Provide litigation support, including case preparation, legal research, records management, and issue identification
- Conduct client intake interviews, gather case information, and provide professional and consistent communication throughout the life of a case
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients while maintaining professional relationships with insurance adjusters, medical providers, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court personnel
- Request, review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing statements, employment records, and other evidentiary materials
- Assist attorneys with settlement preparation, demand packages, negotiation support, and settlement documentation
- Support preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials, including exhibit management and trial notebook preparation
- Perform accurate data entry and provide administrative support as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures affecting personal injury litigation
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct
Qualifications
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Personal injury experience preferred
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
- Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and processes is a plus
- Notary Public certification is a plus
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
