Entry-Level Associate Attorney
Position Overview
The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys handling family law and personal injury matters. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, compassionate with clients, and willing to learn all aspects of case management and litigation.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload under attorney supervision.
- Conduct client case evaluations.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.
- Perform legal research and prepare memoranda.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files.
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently.
Qualifications Required
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Bilingual Spanish
- Licensed to practice law in Texas or awaiting July bar exam results.
- Strong legal writing and research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
Preferred
- Prior internship, clerkship, or law clinic experience.
- Experience with legal case management software.
