Graduate Design Intern

Urban Delta is seeking a Graduate Design Intern to join our team in supporting active client work across architecture and urban design. This is a hands-on internship for someone looking for real-world design and production experience across a breadth of roles in a boutique studio environment with clear feedback, and a portfolio of built work. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of architects, designers, and production staff on a wide variety of project types and phases of projects while gaining technical, design, and professional skills and experiences. 

Urban Delta is a full-service architecture and urban design studio focused on creating meaningful change through thoughtful design. Our work spans across multi-family housing, single-family, mixed-use developments, urban infill, community masterplanning, commercial and office projects throughout Florida. As a growing practice, we offer emerging young professionals the opportunity to work directly with firm leadership, gain exposure to every phase of a project’s lifecycle, and make a meaningful impact from day one. 

Responsibilities

  • Support design development, drafting, and construction documentation in Revit.
  • Assist with 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic layout for client deliverables.
  • Help with research, precedent studies, site/context analysis, and presentation support.
  • Participate in team check-ins and internal reviews.
  • Attend client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and project job site visits. 
  • Assist with permit submittals and agency coordination.
  • Support development of internal templates, libraries, and details.

Qualifications

  • Current student or recent graduate in Bachelor’s or Master’s of Architecture program.
  • Solid design fundamentals in spatial thinking and visual communication.
  • Working proficiency in Revit preferred
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam
  • Clear communication, reliability, and eagerness to learn.
  • Desire to pursue architectural licensure. 

Details

  • Location: Lakeland, FL (In-Person with flexible work days)
  • Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time opportunities available, with flexibility around school.
  • Compensation: Hourly ($18-20+ per hour for first 90 days, and then re-evaluated after review)
