Investment Associate – Technology Venture Capital

About LDV Partners

LDV Partners is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in ambitious founders building transformative companies across AI, robotics, software, biotech, deep tech, and other emerging technologies.

We are looking for an Investment Associate who is intellectually curious, highly driven, and excited about identifying the next generation of category-defining startups. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who wants to combine technology, entrepreneurship, and investing.

Who You Are

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong technical understanding; able to evaluate emerging technologies and products
  • Curious about how industries evolve and where technology creates new opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile to uncover insights
  • Ambitious and excited to work alongside founders building the future
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior startup, product, engineering, research, consulting, or investing experience is a plus
  • No PhD required

What You'll Do

Investment Research & Sourcing

  • Identify and research emerging technology trends across AI, robotics, software, biotech, and deep tech
  • Source promising startups and build relationships with founders
  • Attend conferences, demo days, university events, and industry gatherings
  • Develop investment theses on new markets and technologies

Due Diligence & Analysis

  • Evaluate products, technologies, business models, and competitive landscapes
  • Conduct market research and technical assessments
  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal discussions
  • Support deal execution and portfolio monitoring

Ecosystem Building

  • Build relationships with founders, operators, researchers, and co-investors
  • Support portfolio companies through introductions and strategic projects
  • Help strengthen LDV's presence within the startup and innovation ecosystem
