Inspire Students Through Music
Mountainside Music Academy is seeking passionate and reliable music instructors to provide in-home lessons for students in Boulder and surrounding communities. We are looking for teachers who are enthusiastic about music education, enjoy working with students of all ages, and are committed to helping students grow in skill, confidence, and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging one-on-one music lessons in students’ homes
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student's goals and experience level
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and goals
- Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and lesson records
- Prepare students for recitals, performances, auditions, or personal musical goals as appropriate
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency on one or more instruments (piano, violin, guitar, voice, drums, or other instruments welcome)
- Previous teaching experience (2 years required)
- Music degree or current enrollment in a music program is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes in the Boulder area
- Ability to pass a background check
