Fund Accounting Intern
Fund Accounting & Operations Intern / Part-Time
We're a private equity firm looking for a motivated undergraduate intern or recent graduate to support our Fund Accounting & Operations team on a part-time, in-person basis. This is a hands-on role with exposure to fund accounting, operations, and investor reporting — a great foundation for a career in private markets, fund administration, or finance operations.
Daily / recurring responsibilities
- Perform daily cash reconciliations across fund accounts, flag and research breaks
- Track and log incoming investee fund documents — capital call notices, distribution notices, quarterly PCAPs, financial statements
- Assist with invoice payments
Periodic workstreams
- Support quarterly/monthly NAV processes, including reviewing fund administrator deliverables and reconciling capital activity
- Help prepare and review capital calls, distributions, and investor notices issued to LPs
- Assist with investor reporting (PCAP statements, capital account reconciliations, ad hoc LP requests)
- Help build and improve internal templates, trackers, and process documentation
- Assist with ad hoc operational and audit-support projects
What we're looking for
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (preferably accounting, but finance, economics will be considered) or recently graduated
- Strong Excel skills; formulas, lookups, and clean formatting
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy
- Discreet and professional
- Self-starter who's comfortable asking questions and learning on the fly
- Prior internship in accounting, fund administration is a plus
