Our mission is to inspire young people to explore the world while engaging with the issues shaping it. We publish destination guides, feature stories, news coverage, and social action content created by a diverse team of contributors from around the world.

Position Overview

CATALYST PLANET is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Content Manager Intern to help publish and manage content across our website. This role is ideal for a student interested in digital media, publishing, journalism, travel, social impact, or content operations.

The Content Manager will work closely with our editorial team to ensure articles are accurately posted, formatted, and organized within our content management system. This position also serves as an Editorial Assistant role, helping support the day-to-day operations of a growing media startup.

No prior editing experience is required, though strong attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Upload and publish articles on the CATALYST PLANET website
  • Format content within our content management system (CMS)
  • Add images, links, metadata, categories, and tags to articles
  • Help maintain content quality and consistency across the site
  • Perform basic proofreading and quality checks before publication

Qualifications

  • Passion for travel, global culture, sustainability, and social impact
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
  • Interest in journalism, media, publishing, communications, or related fields

Preferred (but not required)

  • Familiarity with Squarespace
  • Familiarity with Notion
  • Basic proofreading experience
