Position Summary
The Admissions Recruiter assists the Fayette Admissions team in achieving new student and enrollment goals through strategic territory management and relationship building. This position is responsible for developing and executing recruitment plans, managing prospective student caseloads, and representing Upper Iowa University at recruitment events.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative recruitment travel plans to maximize results within assigned territory based on university-established annual goals
- Support recruitment initiatives across multiple territories as needed
- Conduct high school visits and represent the university at college fair programs
- Identify and develop prospective student contacts through alumni, current students, parents, and community networks
- Manage assigned territory caseload, including implementation of UIU recruitment communication plans and counseling prospective students through the admissions process
- Plan and execute special on-campus events, including visit days, guidance counselor visits, and student group visits
- Participate in professional development and training programs to maintain current knowledge of university programs and recruitment strategies
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports on all recruitment activities
- Identify and recommend improvements to admissions office policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with large and small groups
- Proven customer service orientation
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work with detail and accuracy, maintain data, and create effective reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to understand and utilize data and statistics
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with multiple university constituencies
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher education experience, preferably in admissions or enrollment management
- Knowledge of JRM
