About TennisLibrary.com

TennisLibrary.com is a digital platform dedicated to helping tennis players, coaches, and fans deepen their knowledge of the game. From technique breakdowns and equipment reviews to match analysis and training guides, we are building the go-to content destination for the global tennis community.

Our content is rooted in accuracy, accessibility, and a genuine love for the sport. We work with writers who understand what tennis enthusiasts are actually searching for - and know how to deliver it in a way that ranks, reads well, and keeps players coming back.

Position Overview

TennisLibrary is looking for a creative, detail-oriented writer to join our remote team. In this role, you will produce clear, compelling, and SEO-informed content across a variety of formats and topics - helping our readers find the information they need and keeping TennisLibrary visible in search.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career writer who wants to sharpen their craft in a fast-paced digital environment, with hands-on exposure to SEO best practices, content strategy, and writing across a focused, passionate niche.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, engaging, original, and well-researched content across formats including blog posts, articles, equipment guides, technique breakdowns, and web copy
  • Produce timely, event-driven content tied to real-time tennis tournaments, match results, player news, and other developments happening in the professional game
  • Develop content pieces intended for publication on external platforms and partner sites outside of TennisLibrary.com, adapting tone, format, and style to meet the requirements of each outlet
  • Incorporate SEO best practices - including keyword usage, meta descriptions, and internal linking - into all written content
  • Collaborate with the content strategy and SEO teams to align writing with broader campaign goals
  • Conduct independent research to produce accurate, authoritative content on tennis topics ranging from beginner fundamentals to advanced strategy
  • Edit and proofread your own work to ensure high quality, consistency, and adherence to brand voice
  • Meet deadlines reliably while managing multiple assignments in a remote, asynchronous environment - including time-sensitive assignments during active tournament periods
  • Incorporate feedback from editors and senior team members to continuously improve content quality

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of professional writing or copywriting experience (internships, freelance, and academic work count)
  • Strong written communication skills with a keen eye for grammar, clarity, and tone
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences, topics, content formats, and publishing platforms
  • Meaningful experience with tennis as a player, spectator, or dedicated enthusiast - you should be someone who has spent time on the court, followed the professional game, or both. A genuine, working knowledge of the sport is essential to writing content our audience will trust
  • Ability to work responsively and turn around content quickly when live tennis events demand it
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload in a remote environment
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related Liberal Arts field - or equivalent practical experience

Optional Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, including keyword research and on-page optimization
  • Experience using content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or similar platforms
  • Exposure to digital marketing concepts including affiliate marketing, digital advertising, or performance analytics
  • A portfolio of writing samples demonstrating range, research ability, and clarity
  • Experience with tools such as Google Docs, Surfer SEO, or similar writing and optimization tools

What You Will Gain

  • Hands-on experience writing professionally published content for a real, growing tennis platform
  • Exposure to multi-platform content strategy, including how content is tailored and distributed across different sites and audiences
  • Practical knowledge of SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing in a results-driven environment
  • Mentorship and editorial feedback from experienced content strategists and senior team members
  • A strong portfolio of published work - across multiple platforms - to support your long-term career in writing, content, or digital marketing
  • Flexible remote work with a collaborative, supportive team culture
