Senior Cloud Architect

TITLE: Senior Cloud Architect

 

DUTIES: Define and implement enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices. Analyze business and technical problems to drive scalable and secure solutions. Architect and design enterprise solutions within AWS and other cloud-based environments, leveraging cloud-native services. Design and implement cloud-based microservices architectures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and resilience. Lead development efforts with Java (11/17), Spring Boot (2.x/3.x) and Process Orchestration tools (Pega, Appian, OpenText AppWorks or similar). Establish API security best practices, ensuring compliance with OAuth 2.0, OpenIDConnect, JWT, and API Gateway security. Implement RBAC and identity platform integration (Okta, Azure AD, AWS Cognito, etc.). Design and integrate third-party systems using patterns like publish-subscribe, event-driven architectures, and batch processing. Optimize cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, and compute resources, to enhance cost efficiency and performance like AWS Lambda, IAM, S3, EKS, Fargate, Kinesis, Redshift. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and cloud infrastructure provisioning. Manage large-scale applications handling high-volume data sets. Work with relational databases, such as one of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle. Optimize NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Redis, to ensure efficient data modeling, lowlatency queries, and high availability in distributed environments. Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations such as CCPA, GDPR, or other country-specific standards. Implement solutions aligned with ISO 20022 standards for financial data messaging and integration. Expertise in payment processing systems, real-time transactions, financial messaging, and payment gateway integration. Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices in software development. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding teams in solution design, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and DevOps engineers, to ensure seamless software delivery. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API documentation, and design specifications. Work with issue tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, and similar platforms to manage workflows and collaboration.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software or Computer Engineering +5 years of progressive experience in: Software development (Java (11/17), Spring Boot Mobile App Platforms, Java (11/17), Spring Boot (2.x/3.x) and Process Orchestration tools (iOS or Android); BPM & Automation; as well as the following databases - SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis).

OTHER:   Location: Coppell, TX. Offered wage: $156998.00.  Job may require some travel in the US with expenses paid by employer. (Less than 30% of time)  40hrs per week.  Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.
