Entry-Level Video Production Assistant – Film Office / Production Company
California Capital Film Office – Folsom/Rancho Cordova, CA
The California Capital Film Office, the official film office for the City of Rancho Cordova, is seeking an entry-level production team member to join our growing organization.
In addition to facilitating film and video productions that come to Rancho Cordova, we are also an active production company producing video projects for the city, local businesses, documentaries, and digital media content. We also produce and film two ongoing podcasts distributed on YouTube and social media platforms.

Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting on video and film shoots
- Operating Blackmagic Cinema Cameras
- Setting up and operating lighting equipment
- Recording and monitoring sound
- Assisting with podcast production
- Editing video content
- Basic color correction/grading
- Media management and production support
- Occasional assistance with film office operations and visiting productions
Requirements:
- Experience operating Blackmagic cameras
- Basic understanding of lighting and sound
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Basic color grading knowledge
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Compensation:
- Starting pay: $20/hour
- Increase to $25/hour after 60 days based on performance
Location:
Folsom, California
