Operations & Accounting Associate (Entry Level)

Location: South San Francisco, CA
Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

MCLAB is a biotechnology company serving researchers, universities, government laboratories, and biotech companies worldwide. We manufacture and distribute DNA sequencing reagents, molecular biology products, and laboratory services that support scientific discovery.

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated recent graduate to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, operations, inventory management, and business administration within the biotechnology industry.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Administrative Support

• Process customer invoices and accounts receivable in QuickBooks
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments
• Reconcile payments and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with order entry and customer account management
• Support general administrative and office tasks

Shipping & Inventory Operations

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare shipping labels and shipping documentation
• Receive and organize incoming inventory and supplies
• Maintain inventory records and stock levels
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits

General Operations

• Support day-to-day office and warehouse operations
• Coordinate with team members to ensure orders are fulfilled on time
• Help improve internal processes and organization
• Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Accounting, Biology, Biotechnology, or related field)
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable learning new software and systems
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 30 lbs
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks
• Prior administrative, warehouse, retail, or customer service experience
• Interest in biotechnology or life sciences
