Associate Product Manager at Volexity

Volexity is looking for an Associate Product Manager to join its product team and help build the next generation of cybersecurity products. This role is ideal for someone trained as an engineer who also has a business mindset and a desire to work closely with customers. It is an opportunity to learn product management, gain deep expertise in the cybersecurity industry, and help shape products used in real-world security environments.

As a core member of the product team, this person will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure Volexity’s products succeed in real environments. They will write Python scripts, build automation, and troubleshoot customer infrastructure, while also growing their product skills by understanding the market, talking to customers, identifying product needs, and helping decide what gets built.

The right person is technical, self-directed, and comfortable with ambiguity. They like building tools, solving messy problems, and figuring things out without waiting for perfect instructions. They want more ownership and customer exposure than most entry-level engineering roles offer. This is a high-growth role for someone who wants to become a strong technical product leader.

What the Role Involves

Deploy and support Scout in real customer environments

Build and improve deployment automations using tools such as Terraform and Ansible

Contribute to product SDKs to make deployment, configuration, and testing easier

Prototype integrations with systems customers already use

Research and stay informed of related products and approaches in cybersecurity

Turn repeatable customer issues into actionable product requirements for the engineering team

Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical customers

Comfort working directly with customers

Interest in cybersecurity, endpoint systems, incident response, memory analysis, detection, or investigation workflows

Good judgment about when to build, when to research, when to document, when to ask for help

A self-directed working style

Preferred Experience

Candidates do not need all of these, but they would be helpful:

Experience in cybersecurity, endpoint security, incident response, digital forensics, malware analysis, or threat intelligence

Experience with EDR, SIEM, security operations, or detection workflows

Familiarity with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar deployment automation technologies

Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Elastic, Volatility, YARA, or similar investigation technologies

Experience supporting enterprise software deployments
