VOX ATL welcomes applicants to serve as a near-peer intern to support after-school programming and media production at VOX ATL.
VOX Studios is a production arm of VOX ATL that supports commissioned and community outreach content — content we make for community partners and clients. Interns will have the opportunity to co-lead and participate in skills workshops, help create a welcoming VOXy environment, connect with and support teen participants, and continue to develop their own media and professional leadership skills.
This role is ideal for someone who is looking to continue to build their own writing, video, and podcast production skills while providing mentorship and support to others doing the same.
This role is great for those who enjoy working collaboratively in an intergenerational environment and being a part of a production team focused on end-to-end production flows.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with adult staff and teenage participants to help plan and execute multimedia content creation activities for teens.
- Assist in coordinating and promoting production calendars
- Assist in training and supporting teens in their multimedia making
- Maintain regular communication with program participants to provide guidance and assistance for writing, video and/or audio storytelling
- Support individual content creators 1:1 with planning, producing or editing their content
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to creative expression, aligning with VOX’s ethos, encouraging participants to amplify their voices.
- Aid in the continuous assessment of the program's effectiveness, ensuring alignment with its objectives and overall support for the organization's initiatives.
- Enhance your own multimedia production skills, regularly leading, producing, and sharing content (minimum of one per month)
- Coordinate with VOX teen interns to strategize and execute the end-of-term showcase.
