About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing biomedical manufacturing team in Warwick, RI. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving complex production challenges, driving continuous improvement, and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality product output while collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and root-cause analysis to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Design and optimize workstations, production lines, and tooling
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including equipment and process failures
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions, cycle time studies, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with product design, quality, and vendors to ensure manufacturability and compliance
- Monitor and enforce adherence to manufacturing procedures and equipment protocols
- Supervise and support technicians and shop-floor personnel
- Establish efficient workflows and production sequencing
- Split time between office-based engineering work and hands-on plant floor support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 0–2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Experience with data analysis and process improvement tools
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and ISO standards
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Work Environment
- Combination of office-based design/documentation and on-site manufacturing floor support
- Hands-on involvement with equipment, processes, and cross-functional teams
