Job Description
August S. Productions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Freelance Camera Tech for occasional catalog photography, runway coverage, and brand content production.
This is short-term, low-cost gig work for someone who is strong on the technical side of photography and video. We need a person who can run technical standby and solve problems involving cameras, flash, lighting, tethering, video capture, computers, file transfer, and file management.
This is not just a creative photo role. We are mainly looking for someone who can keep the technical side of the shoot running smoothly and reliably.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate cameras for catalog, runway, and brand content
Handle basic video capture for runway and related content
Manage camera settings, exposure, focus, white balance, and consistency
Set up or assist with flash, lighting, and tethered shooting
Troubleshoot cameras, memory cards, batteries, cables, flash, and computer connections
Monitor file capture and help prevent technical problems during shoots
Transfer, organize, label, and back up photo and video files
Work calmly and efficiently in a small production environment
Be available for occasional weekday, evening, or weekend assignments
Preferred Skills
DSLR or mirrorless camera experience
Flash and lighting setup
Tethered shooting
Basic video capture
File organization and digital workflow
Memory card and backup management
Computer troubleshooting during shoots
Familiarity with Lightroom, Capture One, Photoshop, or similar tools
Ideal Candidate
Reliable and punctual
Technically strong
Organized with files and equipment
Able to solve problems quickly
Comfortable working around garments, models, and live runway situations
Interested in occasional freelance assignments rather than full-time employment
