About Thirlwall Design
Thirlwall Design is a Miami-based interior design and procurement firm specializing in high-end residential projects. We collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, artisans, and international vendors to create refined, highly customized interiors.
We are seeking a talented and motivated recent graduate in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field to join our team as a full-time Junior Interior Designer.
This is an on-site position in Miami with an immediate start date. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience working on active luxury residential projects while receiving direct guidance and mentorship from our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with furniture, lighting, plumbing fixture, finish, and material sourcing
- Prepare mood boards, material palettes, and client presentations
- Support the development of floor plans, elevations, furniture layouts, and design details
- Create and update furniture schedules, specifications, and selection documents
- Prepare drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD and related software
- Request pricing, samples, lead times, and technical information from vendors
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants, and project teams
- Maintain organized project documentation and material libraries
- Assist with procurement, order tracking, and installation coordination
- Participate in client meetings, project meetings, and site visits
- Support installation, styling, and project closeout activities
- Conduct design research and contribute creative ideas to ongoing projects
Qualifications
- Recent graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s program in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a closely related field
- Strong interest in luxury residential interior design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with SketchUp, Revit, Enscape, or similar visualization software is preferred
- Strong design sensibility and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
- Professional written and spoken English
- Portfolio demonstrating strong academic, internship, or professional design work
- Must be available to work full-time and on-site in Miami
