The Marketing & Events Coordinator helps bring the Lots 4 Less brand to life in our stores, online, and throughout the community. Working closely with Marketing Leadership, this role helps develop the marketing calendar, message, and plan, then takes an active role in making that plan happen.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys creating content, interacting with people, testing new ideas, and using data to determine what is working. The Marketing & Events Coordinator will spend time in our stores and warehouse identifying products, people, and stories worth sharing, then turning those opportunities into engaging content and campaigns that give guests a reason to visit.
Key Accountabilities
- Work with Marketing Leadership to develop and maintain the marketing calendar, campaign plans, key messages, promotions, and priorities.
- Execute the marketing plan across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Business Profile, the company website, email, text, and other approved channels.
- Spend time in the stores and warehouse identifying new products, special values, teammate stories, guest experiences, and other timely content opportunities.
- Create, capture, edit, schedule, and publish photos, short-form videos, reels, stories, posts, graphics, and promotional messages.
- Engage with the Lots 4 Less online community daily by responding to comments and messages, encouraging conversation, and helping build relationships with current and potential guests.
- Maintain a consistent social-media presence that reflects the Lots 4 Less brand, voice, Core Values, and Core Purpose.
- Coordinate in-store promotions, community events, partnerships, giveaways, and other activities intended to increase awareness, engagement, and store traffic.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community organizations, influencers, neighboring businesses, and other potential partners for marketing opportunities.
- Support the development and use of CRM data including guest email, text, and subscriber lists.
- Monitor marketing performance, including followers, subscribers, engagement, shares, reach, web traffic, offer redemption, loyalty enrollment, foot traffic, transactions, and other relevant measures.
- Maintain a marketing scorecard and regularly present results, observations, and recommendations to Marketing Leadership and the Leadership Team.
- Use performance data to recommend when, where, and how approved marketing funds should be invested.
- Set up, monitor, and adjust approved paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and other digital platforms.
- Test messages, content formats, audiences, offers, and advertising channels, then use the results to improve future marketing decisions.
- Coordinate with outside marketing, advertising, creative, media, and technology partners when specialized support is required.
- Maintain organized access to marketing accounts, content files, brand assets, campaign calendars, performance data, and vendor information.
- Support new-store openings and other organizational initiatives through local awareness campaigns, community outreach, events, and promotional activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business, or a related field completed or nearing completion.
- Understanding of social media, digital marketing, content creation, event coordination, and consumer engagement.
- Ability to efficiently create and edit short-form video, photography, graphics, and written content using traditional, AI-assisted, or other appropriate creative tools.
- Ability to use AI and other emerging technologies responsibly to improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of marketing activities.
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Business Profile, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and paid digital advertising.
- Ability to review performance data, identify meaningful patterns, communicate findings, and recommend practical next steps.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with guests, teammates, community partners, and outside vendors.
- Strong organization, time management, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Ability to balance creativity with deadlines, budgets, brand standards, and measurable business objectives.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with Marketing Leadership and teammates across the organization.
- Retail, hospitality, event, social-media, or content-creation experience is preferred. Relevant school projects, internships, freelance work, and portfolio experience may be considered.
- Spanish-language ability is helpful but not required.
