Job Description

The Woods Hole Day Care Cooperative is a small, nonprofit early childhood program serving children ages 21 months through 5 years. We are a collaborative community of families, educators, and administrators working toward one common goal: providing children with a warm, safe environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

We are seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a passionate, supportive group of educators who value relationships, collaboration, and play-based learning.

As a Co-op team member, you will:

Help create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.

Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based experiences.

Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

Assist with classroom routines, curriculum implementation, and daily activities.

Promote respect for the natural world through exploration and outdoor learning.

Foster curiosity, independence, kindness, and confidence in young children.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom while following all EEC licensing regulations.

Collaborate with teaching staff to create meaningful learning experiences.

Qualifications

Reliable, nurturing, and flexible.

Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

Experience working with young children preferred.

Massachusetts EEC Teacher or Assistant Teacher Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Successful completion of CORI, DCF, and fingerprint background checks.

Monday through Friday

No nights

No weekends

Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
