RareVideoGames is a growing video game and e-commerce company based in Hackensack, NJ.

We specialize in gaming consoles, video games, and collectibles, reaching customers through online and live-commerce platforms including eBay, Whatnot, and TikTok.

As we continue to grow, we are expanding into Pokémon trading cards, collectibles, and other new product categories. We are a small and growing team that values creativity, new ideas, and initiative.

=== ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY ===

RareVideoGames is looking for a creative and motivated independent contractor to support our social media, content creation, and digital marketing initiatives.

We are looking for someone who enjoys social media, gaming, content creation, and e-commerce and is interested in helping us develop and grow our online presence.

You will have the opportunity to propose ideas, create content, experiment with different approaches, and collaborate with our team on the direction of the RareVideoGames brand.

We welcome emerging creators as well as individuals with previous social media, content creation, or e-commerce experience.

=== SCOPE OF SERVICES ===

Develop and propose social media and content ideas

Create content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant platforms

Produce product photography and short-form video content

Edit TikToks, Reels, Shorts, photos, and other digital content

Develop creative concepts, promotions, campaigns, and marketing ideas

Identify relevant social media, gaming, Pokémon, and collectible trends

Create promotional content for products offered through eBay, Whatnot, TikTok, and live-commerce channels

Create content featuring PlayStation, Xbox, video games, Pokémon cards, collectibles, and other product categories

Review basic content performance and recommend opportunities for improvement

Collaborate on additional mutually agreed-upon social media, content, and e-commerce projects

=== ON-SITE PROJECT SUPPORT ===

Certain projects may require physical access to products and inventory at our Hackensack, NJ location.

On-site projects may include:

Product photography and video production

Preparing and organizing products for content creation

Accessing inventory needed for marketing and e-commerce projects

Limited shipping or order preparation support when mutually agreed upon

On-site project work will be coordinated based on project requirements and availability.

=== WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR ===

Interest or experience in social media, content creation, gaming, e-commerce, or collectibles

Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and similar platforms

Basic photography and/or video creation and editing skills

Creative mindset and ability to develop and contribute new ideas

Ability to work independently and manage agreed-upon projects and deliverables

Reliable communication and organizational skills

Interest or knowledge in PlayStation, Xbox, Pokémon, video games, or collectibles is a plus

Experience with CapCut, Canva, Adobe tools, or similar software is a plus, but not required

Professional marketing experience is not required.

Personal social media projects, school projects, freelance work, portfolios, or other examples of creative work are welcome.

=== CONTRACT ARRANGEMENT ===

Independent contractor (1099) opportunity

Flexible workload based on mutually agreed-upon projects and business needs

Workload may average approximately 30 hours per week depending on available projects

Flexible scheduling based on project requirements, deadlines, and availability

Hybrid arrangement based in Hackensack, NJ

Certain projects require on-site access to products and inventory

Services that do not require physical access to products may be performed remotely

Contractor will have discretion over the manner and method of completing agreed-upon services, subject to mutually agreed-upon deliverables and deadlines

Opportunity for continued projects based on business needs and mutual agreement

=== COMPENSATION ===

$20-$23 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and scope of services.

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity.
