Morningside Music Academy is growing, and we're looking for passionate, reliable, and talented music instructors to join our team!
We provide high-quality in-home private music lessons to students throughout the Beaverton area. Our instructors have the opportunity to build flexible teaching schedules while making a meaningful impact on students of all ages and experience levels.
Position: Private Music Instructor
We are currently seeking instructors who can teach one or more of the following:
- Piano
- Guitar
- Voice
- Violin
- Cello
- Drums
- Ukulele
- Other instruments welcome!
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, personalized one-on-one music lessons in students' homes
- Create lessons tailored to each student's age, skill level, goals, and musical interests
- Help students develop strong technique, confidence, and a lifelong love of music
- Travel to students' homes within your preferred service area
- Maintain an accurate teaching schedule and communicate professionally with families and our administrative team
Qualifications
- Music degree or current enrollment in a music degree program preferred
- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Strong performance skills and knowledge of your instrument(s)
- Experience working with children and/or adults
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to students' homes
- Dependable, professional, friendly, and enthusiastic
- Ability to pass a background check
