Glen & Effie is looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Jewelry Studio Assistant to help keep our busy studio running smoothly. This is an entry-level role for someone who loves jewelry, design, and making things—and is happy to jump in wherever an extra set of hands is needed.
Our studio is a working environment where jewelry is designed, made, photographed, packaged, and shipped under one roof. You'll get exposure to many different sides of the jewelry business while helping our jewelers, designers, and studio team with the day-to-day work that keeps everything moving.
No jewelry experience is required. We're looking for someone who is curious, hardworking, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in learning more about jewelry and the creative process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Assist our jewelers, designers, and studio team with day-to-day projects
- Prepare, stamp, and organize jewelry packaging and bags
- Help package and prepare finished jewelry and customer orders
- Organize supplies, materials, stones, tools, and inventory
- Keep studio and work areas clean, organized, and ready for production
- Assist with product photography, content, and other creative projects
- Help prepare for events, product launches, busy seasons, and special projects
- Run occasional local studio errands or pick up supplies
- Pitch in wherever an extra set of hands is needed to keep the studio moving
As you learn more about the business, there may be opportunities to assist with additional aspects of jewelry production, design, photography, merchandising, and studio operations.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
- Has a genuine interest in jewelry, art, design, fashion, craftsmanship, or making things
- Is dependable and takes pride in doing even the small things well
- Is exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
- Is comfortable working with their hands
- Is proactive and notices what needs to be done
- Is willing to clean, organize, pack, and jump between different types of tasks
- Can take direction and work independently once given a task
- Is comfortable using a computer and has a baseline knowledge of Google Workspace
- Is curious, eager to learn, and willing to take on new challenges
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a small, fast-moving team
BONUS POINTS
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
- Interest or experience in photography
- Art, design, metalsmithing, fashion, or other creative coursework
- Retail, studio, production, or fulfillment experience
- Experience using hand tools or making physical objects
- An interest in learning more about jewelry production and craftsmanship
