All Children's Art Center of NJ (ACACNJ) is a nonprofit arts organization providing creative and accessible programs for children throughout New Jersey. We partner with schools to bring engaging art, music, theater, STEAM, and enrichment programs directly to students.

We are looking for a Music Teacher / Music Enrichment Instructor to lead fun, interactive music classes for preschool and elementary-aged children at a partner school in Basking Ridge, NJ.

This is a great opportunity for a music teacher, musician, teaching artist, music education student, performer, retired educator, or someone with a strong passion for working with children and music.

Schedule

Tuesday and Friday, approximately 9:30 AM–12:30 PM

The position may involve teaching multiple classes during the school day.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging music classes for young children.
  • Teach singing, rhythm, movement, musical games, and basic music concepts.
  • Introduce children to age-appropriate instruments.
  • Create fun, interactive lessons that encourage participation and creativity.
  • Help children develop confidence, listening skills, teamwork, and a love of music.
  • Prepare and organize simple lesson materials.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming classroom.
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and ACACNJ.
  • Arrive on time and maintain a dependable schedule.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in music, music education, performance, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Comfortable leading groups of preschool and elementary-aged children.
  • Energetic, patient, creative, and dependable.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Experience with piano, guitar, singing, percussion, or other instruments is a plus.
