Business Development Representative

The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you are the tip of the spear for InstaLILY's growth. You will be the first point of contact for prospective customers — operations, sales, and technology leaders at large distribution, manufacturing, and services companies — and you will build the qualified pipeline that fuels our revenue engine. This is a high-impact, high-visibility seat on a small go-to-market team where your work is felt immediately and where top performers have a clear path into closing and other senior GTM roles.

What You'll Do

  • Research target accounts and identify the right stakeholders across our priority industries.
  • Run thoughtful, multi-channel outbound — email, phone, LinkedIn, and events — to open conversations with senior operators and executives.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound interest, understand each prospect's workflows and pain points, and translate them into a compelling reason to meet.
  • Book and coordinate discovery meetings for Account Executives, and set them up to win with clean, well-documented context.
  • Partner closely with AEs, marketing, and leadership to refine messaging, target lists, and outreach sequences.
  • Keep CRM data accurate and pipeline hygiene tight, and use our own AI tooling to work faster and smarter.
  • Hit and exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generated.

What We're Looking For

  • 0-2 years of experience in a BDR/SDR, sales, or customer-facing role; new grads with the right drive are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — you can earn a busy executive's attention in a few sentences.
  • Genuine curiosity about how businesses operate and enthusiasm for AI and how it changes real-world work.
  • Resilience, coachability, and a competitive, goal-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organization and the discipline to manage a high volume of outreach without dropping details.
  • Comfortable working in-office in New York and thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience with CRM and sales-engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Apollo), or exposure to distribution, manufacturing, or B2B enterprise software.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range:  Base salary of $80,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $130,000–$150,000 including variable commission.
  • Equity: Stock options awards, and refreshers for top performers
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, in-office Lunch reimbursement, Wellbeing Stipend, Generous Parental leave, PTO and 10 US Federal Holidays, and more!
