The {C} Magazine is seeking enthusiastic and creative Entertainment Lifestyle Writer Interns with a strong interest in the film and television industries to contribute to At The Movies, a dedicated entertainment project of The {C} Magazine.

At The Movies focuses on the people, productions, creativity, business, and culture surrounding film and television. This internship is designed specifically for aspiring writers and journalists who want to build experience covering movies, television, filmmakers, actors, emerging talent, and the entertainment industry.

We are looking for skilled and developing writers who can both inform and entertain readers while bringing curiosity and a fresh perspective to entertainment journalism. Ideal candidates are passionate about film and television, self-motivated, organized, resourceful, dependable, and eager to develop their voice as a writer.

What You'll Cover

Interns may contribute across a variety of film and television topics, including:

• Film & Television Reviews: Review movies and television programming across genres while developing thoughtful, engaging criticism.
• Celebrity & Industry Interviews: Interview actors, filmmakers, directors, producers, costume designers, creatives, and other entertainment professionals.
• Emerging Filmmakers & Short Films: Discover and spotlight short films, independent productions, student filmmakers, and emerging creative talent.
• The Business of Entertainment: Explore box-office performance, streaming, production budgets, financial investments, franchises, and the business decisions behind film and television properties.
• Entertainment Culture: Examine how movies and television influence fashion, music, lifestyle, technology, travel, and popular culture.
• Industry Trends & Commentary: Write fact-based commentary and features examining relevant developments, conversations, and trends within film and television.
• Behind the Scenes: Explore areas such as directing, screenwriting, cinematography, production design, costumes, casting, visual effects, music, and other creative disciplines that bring productions to life.

Responsibilities

• Write and submit weekly film and/or television articles
• Review movies and television programming
• Research entertainment industry topics and trends
• Conduct interviews with talent and industry professionals when opportunities are available
• Develop feature ideas and original story angles
• Contribute occasional industry commentary and analysis
• Assist with coverage of screenings, premieres, festivals, entertainment events, and other opportunities when available
• Follow editorial guidelines, deadlines, and journalistic standards

Ideal Candidate

• A strong interest in film, television, entertainment, and popular culture
• An interest in entertainment journalism, criticism, or feature writing
• Strong written communication and research skills
• The ability to develop creative and relevant story ideas
• Critical-thinking skills and an ability to support commentary with credible facts and research
• A willingness to receive editorial feedback and strengthen their writing
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• A self-starter mentality and the ability to work independently
• An interest in building a professional entertainment writing portfolio
