Assistant of Fashion Designer/Social Media Growth (Part time)
Working at Anna Nieman Couture will allow aspiring, hard-working fashion designers to participate in the production of couture garments and observe fittings and interactions between the designer and clients. During the program, you will learn the art of custom-made dresses, about various fabrics and discuss fashion history and inspirations. Applicant will gain new experience in client fittings, skills in artistic design, creating garment patterns, sewing together dresses, and will ultimately design and work under the supervision of fashion designer Anna Nieman.
Applicants should fulfill the following preferred skills:
- Pattern drafting
- Hand sewing
- Machine sewing
- Conduct themselves professionally in business environments
In addition to fashion design work, the job will include responsibilities to grow the instagram account. This will include coming up with ideas for fashion designer content and posting images, reels, and other media.
Other requirements:
- Applicants should be pursuing or have completed a degree in Fashion Design
- Applicants should have access to a sewing machine
- A desire to grow the business via social media
- Applicants should be able to commute to Wellesley, MA.
- Passionate about fashion and interested to learn!
The job will start around Sept 1st.
10 - 20 hours a week, $18 per hour.
