Location: San Diego, California | Onsite | Part-Time

We're looking for someone who's patient, kind, responsible, and genuinely loves being around kids. If you get excited about finger painting, can read the same book four times without losing your enthusiasm, and think nap time is a win for everyone — you might be exactly who we need.

The role

You'll be an active, hands-on presence in the daycare room — caring for children, running activities, keeping things running smoothly, and making sure every kid feels seen and safe.

What you'll do

- Provide warm, attentive, nurturing care to children throughout the day 

- Engage actively with kids through play, conversation, and age-appropriate activities 

- Lead simple lessons and early learning activities 

- Plan and assist with crafts, art projects, and hands-on creative work 

- Help children build social, emotional, and early learning skills 

- Assist with diapering and potty training 

- Help with children's meals and minimal food prep 

- Keep the daycare space clean, organized, and welcoming 

- Pitch in with light tidying throughout the day 

- Support daily routines and help kids transition between activities 

- Communicate positively with children, families, and fellow staff 

- Keep children's safety and well-being the top priority at all times
