Social Media Coordinator
Mandell JCC is a vibrant community hub offering fitness, early childhood education, camp, cultural arts, and Jewish life programming to people of all ages and backgrounds. We're looking for a creative, organized storyteller to help our community see — and feel — everything that happens here.
We're hiring a part-time Social Media Coordinator to help manage our social presence and tell the story of our JCC. You'll promote events, classes, and membership across our channels, capture the everyday moments that make our community special, and help turn followers into members and members into advocates.
This is a great opportunity for a student or early-career professional building a career in marketing or communications. You'll be behind the camera at events, helping shape captions and content the next day, and learning how a mission-driven organization builds its brand online. Hours are flexible and can work around a class schedule.
What You'll Do:
- Plan and create social content promoting events, classes, camps, and programs across all departments
- Create content that showcases the member experience to support membership growth and retention
- Capture authentic photo/video content on-site — classes, events, staff, and member moments
- Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and community engagement across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Partner with program staff across the JCC to source stories and content ideas
- Monitor and respond to comments/messages in a timely, on-brand way
- Track performance metrics to help refine content strategy

Qualifications
- Some experience creating social media content — coursework, an internship, a campus organization, or personal/freelance work all count
- Comfortable creating photo/video content Strong writing skills with an eye for voice and storytelling
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok from a content-creation perspective
- Organized and able to manage a content calendar across multiple programs at once
- Friendly, approachable style — comfortable asking staff and members for a quick photo or quote
- Genuine interest in and respect for Jewish communal life and values (no specific religious background required)
- Availability for occasional evening/weekend hours to cover events
