Personal Injury Paralegal / Assistant – Columbia, Missouri

Harper, Evans, Hilbrenner & Netemeyer is seeking a full-time paralegal to join our personal injury team in Columbia, Missouri.

This position will involve working directly with attorneys, clients, and other members of our personal injury team throughout both the pre-suit and litigation stages of a case. Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial intakes with prospective clients;
  Opening and organizing new client files;
  Communicating with clients and responding to client calls;
  Requesting and organizing medical records, bills, and other case documentation;
  Assisting with pleadings, discovery, and other litigation materials;
  Filing pleadings and other documents through Missouri Case.net;
  Monitoring deadlines and maintaining case files; and
  Assisting attorneys with the day-to-day management of personal injury cases.

Prior personal injury or civil litigation experience is preferred. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with clients, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple files and deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary of $48,000–$65,000, depending on experience;
  Quarterly bonuses of $2,500, totaling an additional $10,000 annually;
  Total annual compensation of $58,000–$75,000;
  Health, dental, and vision benefits;
  Retirement benefits;
  Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; and
  Early departure at 3:00 p.m. every Friday.
