Data Engineer / Data Acquisition Engineer Intern

We're looking for an engineer who doesn't stop at the obvious API.

If a vendor doesn't provide the data we need directly, we want someone who can investigate what other legitimate, customer-authorized sources may contain that information and determine whether it can be reconstructed reliably.

The goal is not to bypass vendors or access restricted systems. The goal is to build a data acquisition and reconciliation engine that can produce highly accurate, continuously updated technology-spend information from multiple sources.

  • Python + data engineering
  • API integrations and ETL
  • Entity resolution / matching
  • Financial data
  • Web/data research
  • In school for Machine Learning 
  • Finding alternative lawful, customer-authorized data sources
  • Working with messy, incomplete datasets
  • Building systems that continuously refresh and reconcile information

Preferably based in Dallas, TX and looking to join a startup.
